Margaret Ann Ratliff Garner 68, of Odessa passed away Sunday October 04, 2009 at Regency Hospital in Odessa. She was born July 19, 1941 in Monahans , Texas to Elmer & Margaret (Estes) Ratliff. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Don Ratliff. She is survived by her son, Randy Garner of Odessa; her daughter, Lori Ann Selisker of Fort Worth; two grandaughters, Alexandra Garner of Denver City and Clare Geitz of Odessa; one niece, Russan Galaz; and nephew Gary Ratliff. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday October 10, 2009 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donita Lee officiating. Services are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Per Marianne (wife of Terry). Terry passed away in 1987. He left behind his wife and one Son Eric. He was 46 at the time of his death and died of cardiac arrest. In his senior year the Ray family moved to a farm in Taylor Cnty, and Terry graduated from Jim Ned High School in Tuscola, Taylor County. He attended Texas Tech, was drafted into the Army and ended up in Germany where he met his future wife. Marianne and Terry were married in 1965 in Abilene, Tx. Terry worked for the Abilene Reporter News and attended McMurry University where he graduated with a BA in English and History. After graduating he started working for State Farm Ins. Co. as a Claims Adjuster in El Paso, TX. State Farm moved them to Alvin (south of Houston), Lubbuck, and Midland. He went independent and worked as a Storm adjuster when catastrophic weather hit. After he left State Farm we moved to Runnels County where we reside outside of Winters. Terry enjoyed writing. He wrote letters to the editor (reporter-news), worked on several novels (did not get published). Restoring the home we bought, riding and taking trips on his motorcycle. Update 06/16/09 | |

Married Sharon A. Edens 5/18/68 in San Diego, CA. Two children: David D. Rhoads 5/21/71 and Melissa A. (Rhoads)Boney 4/15/75. David is married to Amy Harper in August 1996 and have no children. Melissa is married to Daniel Ray Boney in February 2005 and have two children: Alexander Ray Boney 7-20-05 and Gabriel Ray Boney 3-3-2007. I retired from the Navy in July 1984 after twenty-seven years of service. I graduated from Abilene Christian College in 1963. I have a real estate broker's license and a private pilots license. My wife Sharon retired from the San Diego City Schools as a Health Aide in 2005. We look forward to retirement sometime soon. Ha! Ha! Sue Harper (1941 - 2010)Sue Harper, 69, passed away Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010. Celebration of life: The family will receive friends 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Alzheimer's Association , 101 Summit Ave., Suite 300, Fort Worth, Texas 76102. Sue was born Jan. 2, 1941, in Wichita Falls. Survivors: Loving husband of 45 years, Fred Harper; son, Greg Harper and wife, Susan, of Flower Mound; grandchildren, Morgan and Jackson Harper; cousin, Eva Mae McIntyre; neighbors and close friends, Vernon and Cheryl Seymour; and many other loving friends and relatives.

Married to Marie Chancellor Riley for 46 years October 5. I have three married children: Kevin and his wife Rita both are in management at the Federal Reserve of Dallas with no children. Scott and his wife Norma both work with computers and information systems. They have two daughters Rebeca, 11 and Isabel, 9. Amanda and her husband have two sons Eli, 4 and Noah, 14 months. Amanda works as a project manager at American while Steve works in information systems. I retired in 1996 from Saudi Arabian Oil Company after 20 years in the Kingom of Saudi Arabia. Steve owned Scotch Plaid, Inc., a small chemical company making car wash soaps & supplies & distributing car wash parts before selling to son, Don, when he retired in Jan. 1996. He had taken all the accounting courses SMU offered at night school thru the years as he worked. Neither of us actually earned a degree. Steve sings in a Barbershop Chorus & has for 25 years. He was an Elder at South MacArthur Church of Christ for several years. We thoroughly enjoy doing very little in retirement & our 12 grandchildren & 1 great grandson - when they have time for us. We went to Thailand for two months in 1998 to work with a missionary teaching English to college-age students. We went to Europe (the Baltic area) for 2 weeks in 1999 - sang with a German choir group in Germany, Sweden, Finland, Russia & Estonia. Went to Honduras on a medical mission trip in 2001 & to Mexico to help build a church building in 2003. Went to Switzerland in Sept 2008 to visit son, Gary, while he was there for about 3 years. About a year after graduation I married. Lived in Kermit, then Corpus Christi for a very short time. Moved back to Odessa, then in "67" moved to Midland. We raised two children then divorced and I was single for several years. I re-married in May of 2008. She is a Hobbs Eagle. We actually had worked together 40 years ago and got re-acquainted a couple of years ago. We live in Midland. I started in radio broadcasting at the old KECK AM 920 while still in OHS in "59". A few years at KOSA Radio AM 1230 in Odessa and then moved to KCRS AM 550 in Midland where I stayed for over 30 years. When "big corporate" took over KCRS radio in 2000 I had already started my own commercial sound system company. I am active in my company business but I am semi retired. Updated 06/12/09. | |

While in Panama I married Emma Acosta in December of 1962. After 41yrs + of marriage we have an all God fearing family. This consists of one Son, three Daughters, and nine Grandchildren. In 1997 we purchased our retirement home in Apple Valley, CA. My wife is currently a nurse employed at Fort Irwin's Weed Army Hospital For the past twenty-five years I have been employed by DOD headquartered at Rock Island Arsenal, IL. After a successful military (ammunition Inspector) and civilian career (Logistician/LAR) and DOD civil servant with service in Vietnam, SWA, and Iraq, I retired with over 45 years service in January of 2004. My last Temporary assignment was Mosul, Iraq with the 101st Air Assault Division. In December of 2003 I returned to my duty station at Fort Irwin the National Training Center for Desert Warfare for the purpose of retirement. My hobbies are Deep Sea Fishing, Golf, and raiding garage sales. I am the older man on the left of the picture. My wife and I are now fully retired from DOD enjoying life in sunny Apple Vally, CA. Our son was married a couple of years ago, so we have a new addition to our family. I have been an AWANA Leader at our church on Wednesday nights, and attending bible study on Monday nights.
