Farl Randolph (Randy) Gibson, age 71 went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 23, 2011. Randy passed away at Medical Center of McKinney Hospital in McKinney Texas, after a short illness.Randy was born on October 29th, 1940 in Eldorado, Arkansas. to Era Francis and Elmer Farl Gibson. In 1946 Randy and his family moved to Odessa. Randy owned and operated West Tex Electronics for 15 years. He retired from Chevron in 2004 . Randy was a member of the Commemorative Air Force and loved to fly. He and his wife recently moved to McKinney Texas to be near their children and their families. Randy is survived by his wife of 52 years, Audry; His children Sid Gibson and wife Connie of McKinney Texas; his daughter, Pam Perkins and husband Lynn of Carrollton, Texas. Grandchildren; Brandon Gibson and wife Kayla, Jordan and Colby Gibson, Michael and Melissa Perkins. Great Granddaughter, Madison Gibson, sister, Annette Long and brother David Gibson. Services will be held at the Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home at 2:00 on Saturday, November 26th with burial following at sunset Memorial Gardens. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. God has been good to us: we have six children and eight grandchildren- My girls- Sara, Rebekah, Deborah, and Bethany all live in the D/FW area, and Amanda lives in Odessa and teaches art at Crockett. My son, Nathan, died in Midland, 1997, age 33. Minnie's son, Mike Holland lives in Midland. Served as a pioneer Baptist missionary to the Dominican Republic, missionary to the Ute and Navajo Indians, and Mormons in Utah, pastor of two Spanish churches in Texas, and pastor of four Baptist churches in Utah.  Husband, Harold, deceased. Two children. Son, Bill Baldwin, married to Janet lives in Dallas, TX. Daughter, Shari Gifford, married to MSG Tony Gifford and lives in St. Robert, MO (Ft. Leonard Wood, MO). Tony is presently in the US Army in Iraq. Six grandchildren. Granddaughter in Air Force, stationed in San Antonio and just returned from Iraq. Step grandson in Army serving in Kuwait. Grandson at University of Texas in Austin, grandson and step granddaughter still at home with Shari and Bill's daughter still at home. When did they grow up? Moved Nita's Stained Glass studio from a retail store front to my home and enjoy the convenience of working at home. Recently completed five stained glass windows for the chapel at Odessa Regional Hospital, east campus. Selling miniature figurine collectable dogs, cats and miscellaneous critters on eBay has become a full time job which I thoroughly enjoy. March, 2009. The trip of a lifetime! Home is located in Big River, CA - but we do not get mail delivery here. Many get confused with this because we are located on the CA side of the Colorado River (Lower Colorado river). We are on land that is leased by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) from the Colorado River Indian Tribes (CRIT). I have just graduated from the University of Phoenix with a BSB/Acc. My wife and I are getting custody of our grandson (her daughters
baby) who will be 3 this year.

up!). Part time still gives me some time off to travel. We lived in Houston for many years but moved to La Grange in 2001. Wonderful area, rolling hills, pastures, wild flowers, half way between Houston and Austin. My husband Bill was a Chemistry teacher. He has taken up painting and has just sold his first painting. We have been some amazing places together - RVed to Alaska for 3 months, traveled to Italy for son Russ and Kristina's wedding in a beautiful winery in Verona and then traveled all over Italy before spending a week in
Tuscany. We've cruised at Christmas on German rivers and through the Panama Canal. I was in Mexico a lot for a while visiting Oaxaca, San Miguel and Puebla.We have taken the RV out on some long trips to the western states and to the gulf coast states. The guys in the family like to fly fish and we go to
Montana. My brothers and I have a house in Lajitas that my parents built years ago and we like to go there when we can to enjoy the beauty of the Chihuahuan desert. Our favorite thing to do is attend anything that grandson Matthew is involved in. He is 16, a junior, plays soccer and tennis, plays trumpet in the band (went to state in
ensemble) and he is working towards his 3rd degree black belt in TaeKwonDo. He's
smart (#1 in the class), cute and a really nice guy. He plans to be an Aggie like his

In High School I was on the Varsity Tennis team my soph. year and chess club, and Latin Club. Junior Classical League and UIL. I began working at the 5&10 downtown after school and on Saturdays. I did not have time for extra curricular activities at school my Junior and Senior year. Presently I am a volunteer Senior Companion to 3 clients who need company or a way to go some place (SSC). I hope your reunion is a good one. I have decided to go to the 79th class reunion. ha! At a OHS football game in the 70's a petite lady was climbing to the top of the stairs in the stadium . Someone close by us said she was one of 3 left of the 1929 graduating Class ( Go Figure). I was divorced in 1982, but have 2 great sons & daughter's -in-law and 2 fine grandsons. One is in seminary and one is in the Lee band. Update 09/26/09. |

 After graduation in 1959, I attended Hardin-Simmons University, where I attained a BA in English in 1964.I am married to Jon Hampton since 1963. We have three children, stepson David Hampton, wife Brenda, their two children, Justin 15 and Jenifer 13; son Jon Tod Hampton, wife Tammy, their two children, Kaley 12 and Garrett 9, daughter Tori Hindman, her daughter, Kelsey 19. Hobbies, fishing in Alaska, quilting, reading, playing Nintendo games, working crossword and sudoku puzzles, attending all my grandchildren's sporting events. I manage a Workforce Solutions center in Greenville, TX. I have had a career in Social Welfare in three different states. I worked a year in Texas, then moved to Louisiana where I worked for the state for 7 years before moving to Kenai,Alaska, where I worked as a child protection investigator, supervisor, and manager of three offices. In 1988, I came back to the lower 48 to drive a tractor-trailer as owner/operator with my husband. We drove in all 48 contiguous states and 5 Canadian provinces.
