Divorced. I have one daughter, Sabrina, who lives in Perryton, TX, with her husband, Marty Devers, and their teenage sons, Matt and Cody. I work at a really great job as graphic designer for Odessa College. My hobbies include competing in sheep dog trials, dog training, photography, watching my grandsons participate in rodeos, horse shows, and baseball. I love to travel (enjoyed my first cruise (Alaskan coastline) 5/07, and just drove to Gallup, NM last month (7/09) to watch youngest grandson Cody compete in the Wrangler Junior High National Finals Rodeo. Life is so great; I am so blessed! Updated 08/20/09. | |

Carl
Joseph Ellerd |
What I was e-mailing you about is that he was killed during the Vietnam War. He was on a plane that was going from the
Philippines to drop off sailors on various ships in the Gulf of Tonkin. The plane he was on went down and he is listed as MIA. If you can go to the Permian Basin Vietnam Memorial at
www.veteransmemorial.us , there is the MIA report on him. Double click on the top where it says honorees and all of the
causalities come up alphabetically and by County. I am attempting to write biographies on all of the Ector County
casualties. I came across your site on the Odessa High School site where you indicate that you would like to have information on your classmates that are deceased. What I would like if possible is to determine if there is a picture of him in the 1959 Corral. If so I am wondering if it is possible that you might scan it and send it to me. Pictures add to the biography. If I can be of further assistance to you, let me know. Billy M. Brown,
bmbrown@ref-chem.com , OHS Class of 65. This will take you directly to the website for Carl.
